Ever wondered why when the time came to deliver Israelites from Pharoah and the oppression in Egypt, he chose someone that grew up in the Palace? Moses grew up in the Palace, and he dealt with Pharaoh without fear or favour. Moses could not be thrilled by small issues like gold plated doors and seats. Moses could not be bribed by small money and small favours because he grew up in wealth and was never thrilled by power. The Chaos at the Counties with excess greed never seen before in Kenya by Governors and MCAs are just symptoms of placing power and money in the hands of people that are still excited about things like boarding planes and living in luxury. I was shocked in 2003, when many top liberators young turks I used to interact with before turned to be the most corrupt fellows. Right now many Raila supporters cannot simply come to terms with the fact that their hero has turned out to be another corrupt thug. Many of them have formed some mental block and turn to insults when confronted with facts. Raila is not alone- the whole bunch of Kenyan leaders from both sides of the political divide are infected by that disease. Look around you- you will see MPs turning into something else after tasting some little CDF money. Governors are acting like small gods. From my interactions, and observations of many Kenyan leaders, I reached the conclusion that God saw the suffering of Kenyans and decided to give them a leader to deal with the class of greedy leaders by allowing Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta to ascend to power. This is not about tribe, but about class. Those that know President Uhuru know that as soon as the issues of ICC die off, and he completes the transition from the former regime to the real Uhuru regime; Kenyans will see what clean leadership is all about. Kenyans will appreciate the reality of having someone like Moses- who grew up in an environment of power and wealth- but remained simple and humble. Kenyans will begin to appreciate the value of having a President that does not need to buy anything or build palaces to prove his worth. Kenyans will begin to appreciate the value of having a President that does not require investors to part with 10% before investing. Kenyans will understand why God settled on Moses to lead His people out of bondage, and why God never chose a poor man, who could have been charmed by the trappings of power and wealth.
