Every July 24 seems to provide a great opportunity to chasse tornadoes! Today will keep that streak going. This map shows the area at risk today for severe storms and also the area where I will be focusing my attention. The tornado threat today is certainly not an impending doom scenario however there will be small window in the late after where storms will have some potential to produce tornadoes. The bigger risk today is for hail and wind...hail in particular. We can expect tracks of storms to produce crop punishing hail this afternoon and evening across the risk area...sorry, dont shoot the messenger. Stay weather alert today, by following Environment Canada warnings and through your local media. The first image was taken last night at Consul as the first wave of this storm system passed through Saskatchewan.
