Every Thanksgiving people post status updates expressing how grateful they are for their friends and family. This is the first Thanksgiving without my mom. For those of you who are posting photos of pictures of your family and your parents be grateful they are still living because next they may not be. I had three instances where I almost died. The last time a man a put a gun in my face. He could have shot me but he didnt. I am grateful that he let me live. And that he let have a more time with my friends and family. I am grateful for my wonderful and my awesome and understanding coworkers like Dina Abou Salem Frank Elaridi, Scott Shulman Jonah Lustig Matt Foster Marilyn Heck Jenna Harrison Ben Gittleson Elara Mosquera Joshua Hoyos Gisela Margarita Perez Michelle Hedman Julie Sone Sid Garcia Leticia Juarez who make my job fun and ABC such a wonderful place to work. I am grateful for my family like my sister Michelle and my brother-in-law Joshua and my niece Juliann and my Aunt Inez. My family is what matters most to me. I am grateful for my friends like Craig Grossman, Matthew Okeyo Nancy Casanova Luis Gomez Brianna Flores Canan Tasci Laurita Tellado Calderón Silvia Pereida Salma Touma Arielle Castillo Bianka Love Adan Hinojosa Cristina Dunning Kathy Ting-Ting Yu Mike May Amy Lieu and all the others I forgot to mention. But most importantly I am thankful that thief did not shoot me on my birthday. I am just grateful to be alive. Happy Thanksgiving
