Every decision we make in life is like playing Roulette. The action of tossing that little ball is representative of making the decision. The tilted wheel is synonymous with life. Where the ball lands is the result... or the circumstance. Since its earliest beginnings in the 17th century, the game has changed some. But, there is one constant. The ball will be tossed, and the ball will travel around until it loses momentum and finds its place. You can change the rules, but you cannot change the ultimate result. You place your bets in life, and you deal with the consequences. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. This will never change. Theres lots of hulaboo in our community, and in our county about a terrible and tragic situation that several families are having to deal with right now. And, Id advise people to be sensitive to those families in their time of grief. Regardless of how any one of feels about the situation, have some decorum. The young people whose lives have forever changed or have ended tragically cannot be fixed by your opinions. That which has taken place cannot be undone. There is only the present moment in which we can live and be responsible for our OWN actions. These are our children. They are our people. They are our community. Shaming those who are left to pick up the pieces is unfair, unnecessary, and absolutely wrong. All you are obligated to do is to pray for, console, or to shut up and watch quietly as others deal with what is on their plate. Raise your children. And, hope that when the ball lands it doesnt land where the stakes have been set so high you cannot see the ground upon which YOU stand. #thatisall
