Yiddish House Concert with Guest Performer Hans Breuer Tayere Fraynd - Dear Friends, Please join Yiddish singer Hans Breuer, who is also Austrias last wandering shepherd, and The Wholesale Klezmer Bands Yiddish singer Yosl Kurland for a house concert of Yiddish songs and stories Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 pm in Greenfield. Hans Breuer is the subject of Sam Apples popular book published in 2006, Schlepping Through The Alps, which tells of his seasonal migration from summer mountains to winter pastures in valleys with 625 sheep to whom he sings Yiddish lullabies. Dovid Tasgal of the Wholesale Klezmer Band will accompany on Piano. Hans Breuer will select from his repertoire of over 100 Yiddish folksongs and many songs that he has written in Klezmer style.
