Preliminary Finals Preview - Part 2 - Match Previews U12A v GW Rovers Preliminary Final 10:55AM, East Ringwood Reserve Last time they met QF – Vermont 4.9-33 defeated GW Rovers 2.2-14 A fantastic win in the first week of finals against GW Rovers will have the boys confident if they play their best then a GF berth awaits them. In what will be a tight game it may just come down to who plays best on the day. If our boys do what they do best, they will give themselves every chance of a win. Go Eagles! U14A v Norwood Preliminary Final 12:30PM, East Ringwood Reserve Last time they met QF – Vermont 12.14-86 defeated Norwood 3.3-21 After being on the receiving end of a belting from Blackburn last week, the U14A boys will have to get their mojo back as they take on a rejuvenated Norwood. With a comfortable win in the Qualifying final against the same opponents Franks boy’s will have to be back at their best if they want to set up another crack at Blackburn in the Grand Final. The boys deserve to go in favourites but will still need to work hard to get the job done. Go Eagles U17P v Lilydale Preliminary Final 2:30PM, East Ringwood Reserve Last meeting R12 – Vermont 4.8-35 def by Blackburn 10.5-65 The U17Premier boys won their first two encounters against Blackburn and then put in a flat performance in their last battle to let Blackburn take control on the day. Steve Whites team are looking forward to some important ins to the side this week and are pumped for a big game as a team. Winning the contested ball will be important against Blackburn and strong defensive pressure and improving our hitting up of targets will be needed. These are all things the Premier boys can do well. They all know the opportunity that Sundays game provides. Time to put everything on the line from the first bounce. The boys will ensure that this is not their last junior game with 100 percent intense effort from every Eagle for four quarters. Switched on from the start. You can do it boys. U17C v Lilydale Preliminary Final 2:30PM, Walker Reserve, Wantirna Sth Last meeting R11 – Vermont 5.7-37 def by Lilydale 8.9-57 Browny’s boys continue on their fairy tale finals run after disposing of Norwood in a classic last week. This week they take on top of the ladder Lilydale who suffered a shock loss in the 2nd Semi-Final last week and will want to do everything to make amends. That’s where Browny’s boys are sure to do everything in their power to get another scalp and move into the GF. The boys are playing terrific footy and look primed for the challenge that fronts them this week. Again this week the boys have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so the pressure is all on Lilydale, I tipped the boys last week and I’m not jumping off them this week!
