Every farmer knows that unless his seed dies in the soil it will - TopicsExpress

Every farmer knows that unless his seed dies in the soil it will not bring forth the harvest he hopes for. There are many things that have to happen for a crop to become fruitful. The seed must die. And the seed must be cultivated in rich soil. The seed must get water to come to life. And then it must abide in the fertile soil, gets its nourishment from the soil ,and continue to get water to cause it to grow. If severe weather comes in the crop can be destroyed and the harvest can be lost. The seed that must die is our former man. We must find our inner man and live in Christ. Jesus is the fertile soil we are rooted in. He is the living water that cause us to grow up in him unto eternal life. We grow up into mature sons by getting our strength from him. We become one with the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. We abide in Christ and the Father purges our branch and we bear much fruit. We obey God by yielding our lives to Christ being firmly rooted and established in love. We were purchased by God by the blood of Jesus Christ. We no longer belong to ourselves. We must understand that our former man belonged to the world and now he/she is dead and gone. We live our new life in Christ Jesus bearing fruit of righteousness, not sin. We are rooted and established in Christ. Our house is built on the Rock of Jesus! The storms of life and the enemy who comes to steal our faith will not succeed because the temptations he brings forth dont appeal to our new man. For we crucified in Christ. Old things have passed away and all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
