Every few months the electric company sends me a notice comparing my usage with that of my neighbors. No matter how hard I try (by getting energy efficient appliances and furnace, turning off lights, installing an electronic thermostat because I forget to turn down the heat/air during the day, etc.), I emerge as the neighborhood energy villain. THEN, yesterday, I got a comparison piece about voting. And guess what? I completely kicked the ass of my entire neighborhood because I vote in every election. So theres something to appease my competitive nature. And now I know that I need to talk to my neighbors about stepping up to give me a run for my money at the polls next week. :-)
