Every great story seems to begin with a snake.~Nicolas Cage I spent the day at Circle B yesterday. Most of the day on my own (which is dangerous) and then the rest of the day with fellow members Karen DiNoto and TraceyandEric Goodwin (which was just as dangerous, lol). It was a spectacular day with several new sightings including this listing. We came across this beautiful Banded Water Snake. It was maybe 10-12 inches in length, definitely a young one. It was amazing seeing this gorgeous specimen up close and to now learn also nonvenomous. I have at least a weeks worth of postings and stories after yesterdays shoot. I nearly stepped on a 7 ft. gator which was exciting. I was in the middle of a raccoon turf war which was also exciting. And lots of interesting sightings like an Anhinga beating a fish to death and a Great Blue spearing a fish. Oh, did I mention the Eagles too? Woohoo. Wonderful day...more to come.
