Every man and woman born into this world needs THE LOVING KINDNESS OF GOD to be forgiven of our sins. For sure, no one among us could afford the Price to redeem us from the bondage of our sins. Just like any item pawned at pawnshops or any man who needs medical treatment, we, too, desperately need to be redeemed from our helpless and hopeless state of sinfulness. It is our nature to sin. Yes, we are helpless and hopeless because no one among us could ever afford to pay our dues. The Price is indeed too high! No one among us could ever pay the price of the redemption of our spirits. No matter how willing we may be to pay for it, no one among us is qualified, too. On our own, our human deeds and efforts cannot wash away the blackness of our sins. Based on human standard, some among us may decide to be nailed at the cross. For what reason? To be saved from sin? From some peoples point of view, this might work. Others make atonement for their sins by doing good deeds and helping other people. For them, their works will give them the ticket to heaven. They go on doing one good thing after another, but they have never really asked whether or not good deeds will 100% make them enter heaven. And while they continue doing so, this question still remains: by whose standard and criteria should we base the forgiveness of our sins? Is it by our human standards and thoughts? The next question is: Who has been offended by our acts of sinfulness? More importantly, Who has the authority and right to say, Rejoice, I have already forgiven you? Should it not be the Almighty GOD Whom the whole humanitys sins have had hurt and offended for more than six thousand years? For sure, when two people fight, the erring one apologizes while the offended one may or may not accept his or her apology. No one else has the authority and right to accept a sinner again EXCEPT GOD. It cannot be the other way around. It cannot be that the one who has the authority and right to either accept or reject God in his life is man. Thus, sinners as we are, our role is NOT to ACCEPT God for He never has wronged us. We are the ones who are continuously sinning against Him. Thus, we never ever have the right to say, I accept You, God, or I accept You, Jesus. Only GOD has the Authority and Right to accept us. We, the sinners, only have the humble role of RECEIVING HIM and HIS FORGIVENESS out of His Loving Kindness. If we say, I accept You, Jesus, we are like children who tell our parents after we disobeyed them, Dad, Mom, its okay, I ACCEPT you even though I have wronged you. Does this make sense at all? How do we sound when we say that? Dont we sound arrogant instead of remorseful and repentant? Should we not humbly say instead, I have sinned against you. Have mercy on me. Now we know that Someone did hang on the cross to redeem us from sin. Someone did pay our dues. Someone was solely qualified to die and pass Gods Standard as to what was acceptable to Him as the Payment for our sins. No one else was, is or ever will be qualified to take His role. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem and save us all from our sins, and that whosoever believes in Him, JESUS CHRIST, will not perish but will have EVERLASTING LIFE. Because of His Blood that was poured on the cross of Calvary, our helpless and hopeless case of sinfulness has had ceased from being, whether or not the whole humanity knows it. His Blood washed away our sins. Not a human effort and deed could ever do that. Only His Blood was pure that is why no human blood could wash away any mans sins. And yes, the Price was too high that it cost His very own Life to save us. What father would give up his son to save humanity? But God, our Father in heaven, did exactly as He did more than 2,000 years ago: to give His Son that the whole human race may have everlasting life. This is GODS LOVING KINDNESS poured out to the whole world because of His pure and unconditional LOVE. Now, this is our very Hope: JESUS CHRIST IS OUR ETERNAL LIFE.
