Every morning as I say my prayers I pray for our fighting heroes who are protecting us each day. I ask God to keep them safe. For whatever reasons HE has, he takes one of our loved ones. We grief, we cry, we suffer. But we also know that God has a special plan for all of us. I need to put my thoughts and prayers in my own words - not words posted or shared because those are someone elses words. I want to say my own prayers simply put -- Dear God please open your arms and embrace and protect our heroes, their families and loved ones. Not...just during the holidays Dear Lord, but always. Although the holidays are a special time for these families -- please Dear God give strength to those families for those who you have taken into your family and protect those who are still fighting for our freedoms and bring them home safe. Help us Dear Lord during this holiday season to bring families closer together and appreciate what you have done for us. Beginning with this Thanksgiving Day, blessings to all my family and friends. If we continue to keep God in our hearts, he will continue to hold us and protect us. AMEN
