Every now and then, I am forced to work with Windows 8, and again I marvel at how Microsoft is able to develop a new OS that takes several gargantuan leaps backwards in the realms of user functionality, ease of navigation, and general design aesthetic. When you spend 20+ years training a generation how to navigate your OS, why would you completely and radically alter it until its not just unrecognizable, but completely counter-intuitive?
