Every now and then it hits me. I let my mind wander back to Louisiana and I just drift off somewhere. I spent most of this evening watching Cajun videos on youtube. At times just listening can be exhausting. God, I cant believe how I miss weekends in Thibodaux or Houma or Lafayette. Theres is no way I can keep up with any Cajun I ever met and usually find myself saying goodbye to them, long before they ever leave the dance floor, and heading home to New Orleans so tired I can barely make it to bed. This life has been good.
