Every now and then life throws you a curve ball. Less than a week ago our brother in-law was admitted to hospital with a rare illness. Yesterday we received a distressed phone call from my sister, Ross‘s condition was deteriorating by the minute. As my plane touched down in Christchurch, I was told that Ross had passed. The ride to the hospital seemed like a blur, as I walked down the hospital corridors to a room where my sister Jan was waiting for me, I felt incredibly overwhelmed. Unfortunately, death is part of life; it sure makes you think how important it is to enjoy the happy moments, spend quality time with your family and not to dwell on the unimportant stuff. "Rest in peace Ross".
