Every time I hear 🎶Silent Night🎶, it reminds of Christmas Eve 2003 when I was just north of Baghdad in a stucco barn, in the dark, that we fondly called our Chow Hall... We got a Chaplain to come do a service for a few of us at our Camp, as kind of a make shift Midnight Mass set up... Were all in the dark with candles lit singing Silent Night and some bad guys decided that was the perfect time to send some mortars over head... We never did get to the end of the song that night, but 5 months later I was home to continue my life stateside and every Christmas since, its been one of those memories that never leaves the brain! Tip a little out for all those men and woman who arent able to wake up Christmas morning with their kids and families this year and every year!
