Every time you open a fitness magazine or watch a video on YouTube targeted at impressionable beginners, you will inevitably hear about the concept of “Muscle Confusion” which they claim is the selling point of their fitness program or routine. One of the biggest problems is that so much of this industry is based around selling gimmicks and putting people into a state of confusion. Any one with a decent physique with spew bullshit and people will still buy it. Training the same exercises regularly allows the body to adapt and thus grow stronger. On the other hand, training a large variety of exercises equates to doing the same workouts with little to no adaptation. Essentially what I am trying to say is that this muscle confusion theory is a total myth. Learn how to avoid plateaus.
