Every year, I try to choose a verse(s) of scripture to be my theme verse. All of a sudden, the words of that verse seem to be everywhere I look or listen. This year, I have chosen one that I have memorized before and yet...I continue to wrestle with its full meaning. Delight yourself in The Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to The Lord, trust Him, and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Ps 37:4-6. One word that jumps from the page again and again...TRUST. If only I could truly grasp the full meaning of this word...TRUST. If only, I could keep my trust in the right One instead of putting it in my own efforts and in the efforts of others... Every devotional I read these days seems to harp on trusting--trusting that He knows the big picture, trusting that He knows the end of my trials, trusting that His plans are good, trusting that His timing is always perfect, trusting that if I stop all this worrying and just trust Him with the things that break my heart--if I commit my way to Him by trusting...He will give me the desires of my heart. When? When my heart lines up with His heart...when I learn to TRUST, really trust. I pray that this word will be a challenge to you as well and that you will consider how you can learn to TRUST Him more and receive the desires of your heart. Blessings, Lisa
