Every year at this time I reminisce on my young life. The days my Dad would take us hunting in the very swamp that is pictured in this video. The smell of buttermilk biscuits and fried ham every morning, the sound of hound dogs in the back yard excited to go to Ramah river! Family would be in Mamas kitchen day and night. Every time someone walked in the coffee would start brewing. Often my Dad would spontaneously take out his Gretsch guitar and start singing. Times have changed and cultures do not seem as rich anymore. (Dustin is making eggs, grits and pancakes for the grandkids now I smell it). Find some tradition to establish with your family.
