Everyday conservatives are called extremist and delusional. I’ll admit, I’m a bit obsessive with Barack Obama because I see what he is doing to America and what that means for my children and grandchildren. I know the history of great societies, Rome, Greece, Egypt, Babylon etc. and how government corruption, moral decay and financial stress caused them to collapse. We are on the same road and Obama has made an already bad situation worse. But how do we answer the claim that we, conservatives, are extremist? Consider this conversation with a liberal friend that you all know. In response to my post [below] listing all of the horrors that now exists in America and around the world and to which Obama caused or aggravated, he had the following response followed by my comment back to him. Who is the real extremist? Kurt: Here is the thing man. Recently I said that politically we must agree that we see and live in two different worlds. I respect your interest in living there. I get it. Its simply tied to your personality. And your desire to embrace a limited view of all things. Case in point. I asked you to discuss something different, I made a suggestion of even something specific to read. And your response was something like I know all that I need to know, and your through Jesus Christ in their for some reason, and went on to say something about if it interests me, then it wouldnt interest you or something to that effect. That makes it abundantly clear that you take the position that you either know all there is to know about something, or anything new would not be of interest. A person who believes like that is in a stunted state of growth, and as such explains your whole nature, and the nature of Conservative Extremists. Limited in view and uninterested in growth. It also explains why Conservatives are quick to draw relationships between people, because Conservatives are much more interested in communing with people who are as much like them as possible and considers others some sort of threat, while more Liberal minded people are far more interested in being with people as differently from themselves as possible. There isnt the irrational fear or suspicion, but rather an interest in learning more about each other. No to adopt their ways necessarily, but learn more for the sake of knowing more for the sake of growth. The notion of intellectual growth doesnt appeal to you. In fact I think just the opposite is truth, which is continually evident with the things you express politically. I will never be that way or see the world through those kinds of eyes, because I am interested more in evolving. So keep waiting for the armageddon and hoping for it, to legitimize your paranoia. And keep fearing the boogyman that you desperately want the president to be. Me: Amazing. You share all of this crap to supposedly prove your point that you and liberalism are superior to conservatism. Yet the grand daddy of liberalism, Obama who is offered by you and once thought by most Americans to be the answer for the nations problems, is now considered the worst pres of the 20th century. While you hang on to the false perception of his greatness others have opened their eyes. So where is your reality. Where is your evolution. You talk a good game and live just the opposite. Clearly you failed to evolve based on facts and instead remain in the quagmire of racism and small mindedness for that is the only answer for your loyalty to a man party and ideology that has been so destructive to blacks and America. I will say this, you are more rational and coherent than your friend Mark. I love your diversionary tactics. Obfuscate, ignore and rant about me as opposed to proving, with facts, that the above is in error. Obama is the most hated and America and the world are worse off with him as prez
