Everyday in class we sit and talk about movies. Sometimes we watch movie clips for story and directing content. When the instructor opens up the floor for discussion we get to talk about movies as they relate to genres and what not. The blacks only talk about the black movies. The white kids only talk about the white movies. Yet I know about somany different type of movies because of my mom. I know who Meryl Streep is and many other actors. I appreciate black movies and those great people that them such as Spike Lee,John Singleton,Ice Cube,Tyler Perry and many more. Yet great movies have no color its just entertainment. Great movies dont call for a specifi audience. We can not want equality if we keep ourselves in a closed off box. I can make some movies for my people but they will not be greater than a movie made for an American.
