Everyday is battle for me. I have to scrape and squeeze every bit of value out of every penny we have just to stay above water with our budget thanks to oh so awful right-to-work state Texas with no affordable QUALITY child care. I still try to show up when I can for causes and activist actions because silence is not an option. Why am I not silent? Because people of all ages are being unjustly treated, denied basic human rights, discriminated against, are hurting and dying and being killed for greed and extremist delusions and hunger for power and control. I will make time and fight to make a better world for my children and all childrens futures and to make the here and now better. I raise awareness as much as I can and show up as much as possible. I have been honored to be asked to help in leadership rolls for womens rights movements and Secular groups in Texas. I know people will not always agree with me, or like me personally, or may be outright unkind or ill mannered toward me directly or behind my back. It happens. We are all human beings with misunderstandings, mistakes, and flaws. I will do my best to be respectful and professional with all whom I come in contact with. But will move on with my life separated from those who would not treat me with the same level of courtesy with which I treat them. The battle against bloodshed and oppression from the corrupt who take lives and planetary resources in the name of greed is too great a battle for us to be caught up in petty and unreasonable qualms. I only have time in my everyday fight to live and to raise my voice for this battle alone. People may say what they will about me. I will just keep on working toward tomorrow and hope.
