Everyone has a right to voice their opinions. However, professional athletes do a disservice by commenting on social or political issues. Id like to think that Americans resort to watching sports to escape all of the nonsense constantly slapping them in the face. Now we get football players throwing hands up in the dont shoot gesture during pre-game introductions and a defensive lineman calling a cop a pig for defending himself in the line of duty. I cant even see highlights of a game on ESPN without the pop-culture world getting involved and some extreme issue taking stage. Separate politics from professional sports. Period
