Everyone is wondering my purpose in this blog and asking why is it that I am sharing these posts with you all, to that my response is simply this, When God gives you something, it is not just for you. Jesus took two fish and 5 loaves of bread from a little boy and fed the little boy and 5000 others. If a message comes across my heart, it is my hope that it will appeal to you and something in your life, too often we find ourselves feeling like we are alone in life, like we are going through things that no one else would understand, I hope to show you that you are not, and hoping to find that I am not as well! I want to talk about the seasons of life, the inevitable changes that we all face, and the embracing of these changes that God sees fit to put into our life, So lets look first at the book of Genesis Chapter 1:14, And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Now looking at Ecclesiastes 3:1-22, For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; So why are we to stand in the way of our own progression? While were still trying to march on yesterdays orders, trying to stay full from eating yesterdays bread. You see we have to understand that the Bible says, God came into a blank space and created the universe, there was no recipe, there was no blueprint, he said it was to be and there it was! You see our God, He is a creator, the best teachers teach you to think, not just to memorize. Understanding this is to know that just memorizing the word of God is clearly not enough; being able to walk in the word, is also being able to understand how he THINKS in the word, and to think as he has instructed us! In his image, we are CREATORS, he didnt give us cars, but he gave us steel in the Earth; he did not give us chairs, but he gave us trees to carve; he did not give us wedding rings but he gave us the gold to be smelted; when youre not in the situation you want to be in, it is up to you, to CREATE IT, for far too long weve been trying to color in somebody elses lines, when we are equipped to fill a blank sheet of paper. We also have to understand that our God-given creativity can be good thing as well as BAD as can most special talents, we may possess the right tools, but are headed down the wrong path using them towards the wrong task; now redeemed, restored, and revived, are prepared for a reposition to use our tools for Gods purpose. Nobody can see what you see or do what you do. We need to stop expecting everyone to agree with us, but as long as God is with us, who can be against us? Like Joseph, if they throw us in the pit well get out, put us in prison well prosper, if youre on the hamster wheel of life and seeing no change, realize that we are too gifted to be this unhappy, and time is precious. No matter if you make 10 dollars an hour, 100 dollars a week, or a 1000 dollars a second, whatever we make, were getting underpaid. Time is irreplaceable, try to cash a million dollar check, to see if you can get just another week because, when your time has come, it has come. Now note, Im not talking to the ideal person that I see all over social media channels, or that I see out in the streets or in the church, Im talking to the you that is not showing to the world who you want to be. Im talking to the REAL you. Im not calling you hypocritical, Im just saying as people we go out putting our best foot forward, the change has to happen to yourself, on the inside, not a change for the world to see, a change for you to feel. We also have to understand that people who dont make this change, hate on those of us that decide to, they cant understand it, they call us fake, they say we switched up, but I want to tell you, jealousy will always kill the creativity. As long as youre jealous of the change and creativity you see in others, you yourself will never achieve your full potential, something I had to realize myself. I can hear those old church folk now, the Lord dont change, the Lord is the same, yesterday, today and for ever more, HE IS. His word is the same, his commands are the same, but his methods change, because if they didnt, we would still be burning lambs and goats, and participating in drink offerings and peace offerings, and if you dont change when he calls for you, you will miss out, you might lose your wealth, your health, or just your general happiness and joy, and you wont even know it, because youll be too busy trying to make something work the OLD WAY. Recognize your SEASON, its a reason why the Devil tries to sway you when youre on your way to greatness, its because he knows something Godly is on its way. Stop coloring in the lines, get that vision out of your head, work on your business plan, make that next move, get your life in order, because this may be your season. The trouble most of us have is when Jesus shows up in another form, Peter had the same problem, if you remember Jesus came to the fishermen and asked, Children do you have any meat? Are you getting anywhere for all your trouble, to this they simply respond, No. Jesus then lets them know, you have the right boat, in the right sea, at the right time, you have the right promise, youre at the right stage in your life to do this, the only thing stopping you is that youre in the wrong position. Cast your net to the other side, reposition yourselves, and when they did he brought in a multitude of fish. I would ask everyone to join me in this, an opportunity to reposition ourselves, to believe in the change he has in store for us. If you have something that youve been wanting to do, do it! Because he might be waiting to help you out. When you think it may be to difficult for you to achieve trust in him, for he will be your guiding light. -Michael Benjamin Haygood
