Everyone needs to understand why Deaf and HOH (hard of hearing) people whom having huge difficult language, ASL, write and speak. Hearing people must not insult Deaf/ HOH their grammar correction without being discussion or asked permission to change their grammars. No one is perfect as long you can understand. Look, I am very good in my mind alike “good wise” but one problem is in my hands write in an English are not that great. I can’t help it. I do not understand why hearing people or anyone who like to insult their English think that way to hurt deaf/ HOH talking about their bad grammar. I didn’t like the person who is perfect English correcting my grammar. I do struggle with English, and for good reason. English is a spoken language and many Deaf/ HOH cant hear well enough to speak it fluently. It is a foreign language for Deaf/HOH people. Some Deaf/HOH does not care about English and are strong ASL, some do care but it is very difficult to learn and they havent had the right teachers, resources or education to learn correctly. Some simply do not have the motivation and passion as you do. It is hard, even for people that can hear. Like another said, the way we speak it and the proper way, can be very different. Even as I type this now, Im sure an English professor or anyone who knows all of the rules and grammar could pick apart my answer and show me all my mistakes. I would welcome it, for I dont remember all of the rules of English, I just use it. Your question was do I consider all Deaf/HOH people to have bad English grammar? I do not. The person that told you all Deaf/HOH have weak English grammar was WRONG and they shouldnt say such things that are impossible to prove for example. I know some Deaf/HOH whose English is pretty good and only a few personally whose English is really good and it is extremely difficult. Ill stop here. We know who rules the world and how messed up it is and we know who will take care of it all and stop the chaos, let us all focus on that positive future where there will be no more suffering ever again. I like to be treating with respect. I love my hearing friend but some of you do not know me well and I hope you will not correct my grammars again or please discuss with me first. Thanks!
