Everyone using out roadways should understand the rules of the road. But some violations are worse than others. Consider an SUV traveling at 40 mph in a residential area versus a bicyclist running a stop sign. Which is more easily spotted? Which puts more people at risk? Which happens more frequently? Id be surprised if anyone riding a bike in Seattle didnt already know that they have to stop for a stop sign (unlike in Idaho). While many drivers know the rules of the road and many police officers do their best to enforce our laws fairly, all too often the most adamant about bike violations are wrong about the law.
