Everything~Kei Akagi Trio Kei Akagi(born 16/3/1953) is a Japanese American jazz pianist. In particular, he is known for his work with the Airto Moreira/Flora Purim group and in Miles Daviss band in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was born in Japan, but lived in Cleveland, Ohio, for part of his childhood, until he moved back to Japan at the age of 12. He later returned to the United States at 22. He is associated with the Californian jazz scene at present. He is the Chancellor Professor of Music at the University of California, Irvine. Everything is Misias seventh single, released on October 25, 2000. It debuted atop of the singles chart and held the position for four non-consecutive weeks. In 2000s Japanese music industry, Everything is the best-selling single by a female artist, as well as the third best-selling single overall for a female Japanese artist, behind Namie Amuros Can you celebrate? and Hikaru Utadas Automatic/time will tell. The title song served as theme song for the drama Yamato Nadeshiko, which starred Nanako Matsushima and Shinichi Tsutsumi. Everything has been covered by various artists, including Erykah Badu featuring Common, Eric Martin, Boyz II Men and Charice Pempengco. Misia( born 7/7/1978), commonly stylized as MISIA, is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Nagasaki, Misia moved to Fukuoka at the age of 14 to pursue a recording career. There, she continued her secondary education and briefly attended Seinan Gakuin University before withdrawing to focus on her musical career. She was signed to BMG Japan in 1997, after auditioning for record producer Haruo Yoda. Misias second album, Love Is the Message was released on January 1, 2000, which went on to sell over 2 million copies. In October of the same year she released her most well-known song Everything, which sold nearly 1.9 million copies.
