Everything we do pushes our thinking upward or pulls our minds downward. I used to go to films to rest my mind and ended up watching the crap they put out there. Recently I saw an amazing exhibition at the movies about Edvard Munch. There are 3 more of these art exhibitions I think, on coming Thursdays. We missed some really good ones already. I am listening to music that, rather than washing my brain out to sea, encourages higher thinking. Right now I have on the "Beasts of the Southern Wild Soundtrack." I suppose this is part of the origin of my desire to teach. I am finding a practical way to encourage higher thinking.
