Evil and Live Do you see any connection between the two? Live spelled backwards is evil. So whenever we deprive someone of his/her life unlawfully, we commit evil. This is what we do on a daily basis by our neutrality and silence. The recent Wahga Border tragedy and the later burning of the Christian couple are now memories of the past. Its amazing how quickly we can put such events behind us. The breaking news flashes on the media are silent. The sterile, formal, routine, perfunctory messages of shock and grief by our impotent politicians have been issued. The cash prices of the dead victims have been announced (I wonder who fixes the rates: 5 lacs for a dead person. What is the going rate for a living one?) Im grateful to all friends for sending in their suggestions. Each one of them is valuable, and I am thankful to them for sparing the time to reflect and respond back. I would now request each one of them to please follow up on each suggestion at their own level in whatever way they can. Please remember society is only a concept. You cannot touch or see it. It are the individuals who comprise the society and these are real. We have to work on the latter, and if we can change the minds of a certain proportion to reach a certain critical mass, the remaining will automatically align themselves with the rest. Never underestimate the value of changing even one soul. This can always be the tipping point.
