Evolution in Real-Time Darwin made the observation of evolution - TopicsExpress

Evolution in Real-Time Darwin made the observation of evolution popular, with what we call the Darwinin Theory. Its important to understand that he first created his theory based on empirical evidence. That is to say, with Darwins Finches, he saw that each of them had differences that he compared, and started to understand how each one of them used to be the same, and over time became different. That is evolution. Changes over time and over generations...but why? Popular use of Darwin Theory emphasizes that random changes in DNA caused varying features to occur in the organism, and the traits that best fit the species will be passed on because of how useful the random trait was to the survival of that organism. I must disagree. Its part of the unlearning process to look at the difference between random and conscious, because there is a fine line. In the mind of a spiritual practitioner, there is no such thing as random. Have you ever heard the phrase, everything happens for a reason...? Destiny perhaps? Maybe, but I like this explaination better. There is always a pattern, a frequecy, a consciousness to all happenings. There is intelligence to life, there is a pattern. The word random is used alot when a subject has an unknown factor, in this case, it was unknown why things evolved. Instead, they said it was random. Take Darwins Finches for example (please reference attached photo). Why would a common finch species evolve differnt beaks? Darwin saw that each beak had a good use for either cracking nuts (the large curved beak) or getting in to bug burrows in wood (the smaller pointed beak). Darwin recognized that each sub-species of finch was well suited for a particular kind of food source. That certainly doesnt sound random to me. People choose what kind of food they eat all the time. Someone who consistantly eats icecream and dairy products will have a higher tolerance to lactose. Its a choice to drink milk, or perhaps it was the only option they had, the first people to drink milk. But regaurdless, the body adapts. When a common ancestor of the finches began to migrate around and find new habitats, they discovered new food sources. What ever they could manage to eat became a food source for them and their offspring. If they chose to eat hard nuts, they also had a desire to break those nuts open with more ease. Therefore, their DNA was influenced by the want for nuts, by the stimulation of cracking the nuts with their beak. The DNA recorded this, and in the next generation, their beaks were slightly bigger and stronger and curved. Each generation that continued eating nuts reinforced a physiological need to have a bigger beak. Evolution, by conscious choice, not a random occurance. Even from the beginnings of life, organisms wanted to become bigger, it was not random that some single-celled organisms created a second cell of the same body and became multi-celled organisms. Yes, it may have been for survival, but it was still a developed conscious choice. DNA doesnt effect an organism, its the other way around. It records the information of the organism, and changes based on that want or need, that choice. Finally, how does the choice of an organism physically effect DNA? Consciousness is a universal frequency. That is to say, there is a frequent pattern that emanates through the universe and unifies everything. Physicists call it the Unified-Field, modern spiritualists call it Source-Field. The source has a pattern. We use this pattern and variations of it to think and feel. Frequency, that your mind creates when thinking, and your heart creates when feeling. Each feeling and thought has a signature, and each signature of thought or feeling will make small changes to DNA. Over one life time, you drastically change your DNA, not by random chance, but by conscious choice. What do you do? Remember that you have what your parents had, changes they made, wants that they had. Its more reinforced if they raised you directly, but their thoughts and emotions were recorded in their DNA and is now part of you. You add your own changes in your life time. This might seem fascinating, but what can this knowledge really do for you? Besides thinking about how your children might deal with the same problems you did, or how your parents are responsible for some of your problems. My suggestion, take up a practice. Like a finch cracking a nut, you can make yourself specialized in something. It will take less than a lifetime for you to enjoy your own evolution, and certainly youll love to see your hardwork make your childrens lives easier. Mahalo -Thomas
