Ex-Cranes stars to lead newly promoted Bright Stars Former Cranes stars Abubakar Tabula and Jamil Kyambadde have vowed to make Bright Stars FC strong and competitive in the 2013-2014 FUFA League. The newly promoted Bright Stars FC side will make their debut appearance in the top flight after managing to qualify from the Big League. “We are senior players and will play our hearts out to guide the young players so that this team can achieve,” said Kyambadde. Tabula, who also played professional football for GIF Sundsvall in Sweden (2007), switched from Proline FC to Bright Stars FC. “Playing alongside Kyambadde, whom I played with in the national team, will be good and we hope to lead this team to achieve good results,” said Tabula. The team, which starts its league campaign against Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club tomorrow, will be handled by another ex-Cranes star Livingstone Mbabazi. The former SC Villa, KCCA FC and St. Patrick (Ireland) player takes over from John Kayanja, who had a successful stint with the club for four years. The club’s CEO Ahmed Hussein told MTNFootball that although they are a new team in top flight football, they will be a hard nut to crack. “We shall not be an easy team to beat and the presence of former Cranes players will help us a lot with the experience,” added Hussein.
