Ex-soldier kills daughter, mother, shoots self. SANGRUR: An ex-soldier allegedly killed his daughter and mother on Wednesday morning. The Army man also allegedly tried to kill himself and is battling for life at a hospital. Chhahar village resident Gurjeet Kaur complained to police that her husband Rai Singh killed her daughter and mother-in-law in a fit of rage. She said: "Rai Singh had an altercation with family members over a petty issue on Wednesday morning, and he used his .32 bore gun on the victims. He fired four shots, three on his mother Amarjit Kaur and another bullet hit Jaswinder Kaur, 17. They died on the spot, and Rai Singh then fired another shot at himself." He was taken to Dirba hospital and then referred to Patiala. Sources said that he had been suffering from depression after retiring from the Army. Chhajli police station SHO Kuldeep Singh said: "A case of murder has been registered against Rai Singh who is undergoing treatment at Patiala hospital."TOI
