Examine yourselves whether he be in the faith (II Corinthians - TopicsExpress

Examine yourselves whether he be in the faith (II Corinthians 13:5). It seems that all my preacher talks about is sin. No matter how good God is, how hes blessing the church, how hes answering our prayers... Hes always harping on sin. Why is this especially when he could be teaching us greater and deeper things pertaining to our blessings? Our physical activities become limited because of plaque buildup inside the artery walls. This is what doctors simply refer to as blockages. These blockages restrict the flow of blood which nourishes our physical bodies... Lungs, liver, muscles, brain, etc. These blockages are caused by our physical intake of the wrong stuff and lack of healthy activities. Sin is the culprit that blocks our spirits from the flow of Gods blessings. I will not attempt to tell you what is sin or not, what is right or wrong.... That is the job of the Holy Spirit. When a person goes to the dentist.... Even though 31 of his teeth are perfectly sound, yet the dentist always points out the one tooth which had the cavity. After thorough examination he simply states its got to be fixed. Sin in our lives has to be fixed else we will suffer loss. This is the answer to the question, why preach about sin. The blood of Jesus Christ shed at Calvarys cross is the only fix for sin. Have you examined yourself? Is there something (bitterness, anger, greed, lust, unforgiveness, etc) that has built up and is causing a blockage of fellowship between you and God? Holy Father... Thank you for loving me so much that you correct me when I fall short. Today I ask you to forgive me, restore me, revive me...return the fullness of joy and peace of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name....amen.
