Excellent concert at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton yesterday with Nicholas Martin! The Compton really got a good work out as well as hearing some of the softer sounds it can produce. Some may have read that the Civic is to close in April 2015 for 18 months for refurbishment. The organ will be sealed to prevent dust getting into the chambers but will also be kept live and played regularly whilst the work is being done (although not much sound will get out!!). Concerts will continue using our other organs and venues. We hope to arrange six or so on the Compton at Oxley Parish Church in Wolverhampton using the 3/7 Compton installed there as well as the Compton at Bilston Town Hall.
