Excellent work by Nigel Jaquiss of Willamette Week- there are too many allegations that should be investigated to just let this one go by. The Governor needs to let their be an independent investigation but (from the Oregonian)- State Rep. Dennis Richardson called for the appointment of a special prosecutor on Friday to investigate what he called serious ethical lapses (as pointed out in this article, not something Richardson dreamed up) during Oregon Gov. John Kitzhabers last four years in office. Kitzhaber, during a sometimes testy debate before the City Club of Portland, dismissed the Central Point Republicans call with a curt, No. No? So the Governor gets to decide if what the two of them have been up to is legal? Thats all a special prosecutor will do! wweek/portland/article-23203-first_lady_inc.html
