************* Excelsior Correspondent *************JAMMU,Jan 16:In a run up to the final arrangements of 101 st Indian Science Congress,to be held from Feb. 3 to 7 next month,the VC,University of Jammu (JU),Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar today performed the Bhoomi Poojan and laid foundation of state-of-art Pandaal in the University campus. The Bhoomi Poojan was performed in proper Vedic manner by the priest and prayers were made for the success of this mega event. Q.2.Can real education flourish in such a non-secular environment ? Q.3.What connection does the religious practice of Bhoomi Poojan has with the Indian Science Congress ? Q.4.Shouldnt the religious observances be made as purely and strictly private affair of individuals having nothing to do with the state ? Q.5.Does the offering of prayers bear any relation to the success or failure of a mega event such as the Indian Science Congress ?
