Except Geelani, all Kashmiri Pro Freedom Leaders Released Barring breakaway Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, all separatist leaders who were put under house arrest have been released. However, Mr Geelani who remained under house arrest for the past about four months, has not been released, amalgam spokesman Aiyaz Akbar said. He said security force and state police personnel remained deployed outside the Hyderpora residence of Mr Geelani, who was informed that he could not leave till further orders. Mr Akbar said he was not even being allowed to offer prayers in a mosque during the holy month of Ramzan. Moderate Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Omar Farooq, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Mohammad Yaseen Malik, Democratic Freedom Party leader Shabir Ahmad Shah were released last evening after being under house arrest to prevent them from going to the graveyards of the July 13, 1931 martyrs at Naqashband Sahib in the downtown earlier in the day.
