Pedro quickly capitalizes on this moment he draws a clean bead on the demon’s head with his Hawkens rifle. While Paco becomes stiff as a statue as if to aid his master in his shot. The blast from the Hawkens rifle echoes like the thunder in the night, but much to the disbelief of Pedro the beast merely turns towards him and acknowledges his presence. The demon’s eyes seem to glow red as the embers in a fire. She roars like a mountain lion as she tosses the vaquero in her claws towards him with one hand. Paco quickly moves to his right narrowly avoiding the screaming vaquero as he whizzes by and splatters like an over ripe melon on a large rock just behind them. Realizing his Hawkens rifle is of no use against the demon Pedro holsters his rifle. Knowing he needs to get much closer to use his revolvers he dismounts Paco and orders him to flee, Paco reluctantly obeys. Shots ring out from the remaining vaqueros who are now coming to Pedro’s aid the beast seems to be momentarily distracted by the barrage of bullets. This is all the advantage Pedro was hoping for as he runs towards the demon firing sequentially with each pistol. Three rounds from each of Pedro’s colt navy revolvers strike with deadly accuracy at the demon’s heart. The demon roars out, “Mi Ninio!
