Excerpt from Lord Kitcheners Diary 14th August 2014 It has been a very interesting day today. Richard and Miss Hazel departed for Llanelli to get yet another piece of paper first thing in the morning. This gave me a chance to have a quiet chat with George about the correspondence he received yesterday. I have to admit I was quite shocked to find he didnt want to talk about it but I did totally and absolutely understand and respect his need for privacy regarding this matter. So I havent questioned him at all about the contents of the note he received “Dear George I managed to travel to your beautiful country and I enjoy the countryside and picturesque customs very much. I managed to get a lift to your home and although I understand your hosting is quite cramped I hope maybe you could squeeze me for a few nights. Hopefully that grumpy bag of steam engine parts will be gone by then. Greetings from your dearest friend Celine xxxx” Well Im not sure what Miss Clayton is going to make of being referred to as a “grumpy bay of engine parts”!!!! She can be a tad hormonal at times but still that comment seems a little unfair On the plus side at last Miss Hazel has seen the light and is off to get a super duper degree in Engineering so she can help put me back together again. So good to see that she has grown up past her Garret phase at long last.
