Excerpt from a new e-mail to be distributed to accounting alums tomorrow. Once again, the Facebook Group gets a sneak preview! We are very excited to announce the formation of the Gregg/Unruh Alumni Accounting Fund, which has been established as a designated fund within the Alumni Foundation. All contributions to this fund are tax-deductible, and will be held by the Alumni Foundation (a separate entity from the University). All distributions from the Fund will be restricted, to be under the direction and control of Ray Gregg and Terry Unruh. These projects could include accounting classroom improvements, new computer enhancements, scholarships, etc.; whatever Professors Gregg and Unruh want to do to improve the ORU Accounting program. We can think of no better way to honor the legacy of these two incredible teachers/mentors than to give back to the school and department to which they have dedicated their careers - and then allow them to enjoy improving the accounting program as they continue their service to ORU! At the Accounting Alumni Dinner on November 14, we will announce the total amount of contributions to the Gregg/Unruh Fund, and will provide our professors with a list of all donors to the Fund between now and October 31. To donate, go to oru.edu/give and click on the Gregg/Unruh Alumni Accounting Fund icon in the ORU Alumni Foundation section. It couldn’t be easier! Whether or not you are able to attend the reunion, please give generously to honor these two men who have so impacted our lives and careers.
