Excerpt of Press Conference by PFN on Benue State Invasion Everyone has the right to choose the faith of his choice,and to change it if he so wills.However,no one has the right to impose a religion on a person or community,no matter the intentions or design.The attempt to bring Benue to change of Religion through coercion,intimidation,and military invasion must be resisted by all.And we,the Benue people,are ready to resist this barbaric tactic until it is overthrown.And it shall be overthrown.If this is what a Jihad is,then the Jihad is very Evil. The Evil Jihad is senseless looting and killing,if this is what Islam is,which is visiting of war on unarmed and defenceless people,and if this is what religion is,which is occupation and destruction of a peoples land and peace,then Benue people will never become Muslims.We may have been shocked and chased out of our habitations for now,but it will not be long. We urge all our people who have been displaced to prepare to go back to their homes,for it will not be long before the invaders are repelled and dislodged.Benue state belong to King Jesus Christ,Amen.
