Excited about the Fall Colors… I had a lunchtime meeting over in North Branford with my friend Trevor of Shoreline Coatings, the powdercoating company with whom I’ve had several extremely satisfactory dealings over the past few years, for top-notch powdercoating of automotive parts (specifically in my case: automobile wheels). What spurred this was that I finally decided to break down my ’01 Forester’s original 16” alloy wheels, sell the tires that were on them (see my recently posted ad elsewhere on this page, and/or on the SAAC web site’s classified ads page: homecast.net/~shorelinesteve/SAACClassifieds.html), and then think about getting the original wheels refinished. I was in the area today, had the wheels with me, called Trevor, and soon we were at his shop looking at various chips for various interesting colors AND textures of coatings he has the capability of applying. The Connecticut elements were not exactly kind to the old Suby’s wheels (Connecticut’s love of wintertime road salt probably the primary culprit), and so, with Trevor’s guidance, we arrived at a coating plan that is appropriate for the wheels, and has me very excited. We got paperwork done; I left my wheels and a small deposit, and Trevor said he’d call me when they were ready. Repeating myself, I am VERY excited, and can’t wait to see (& show you) how they turn out! And then it’ll be time for some tire shopping—which is another of my “favorite pass-times!” Ha ha!... Thanks again Trevor!
