Chef Geoff Lazlo Sets His Sights on Greenwich The chef is planning to source local produce to serve at the restaurant hes reportedly opening in the Byram neighborhood of town. By Barbara Heins (Patch Staff) Updated October 9, 2014 at 8:43 am Looks like the former Lolita Cucina restaurant space on Mill Street in Byram won’t be vacant much longer. According to CTBites, chef Geoff Lazlo, is returning to his hometown of Greenwich. Lazlo, former executive chef at The Whelk in Westport, is planning to bring his version of farm-to-table eating to the restaurant space. Lazlo previously served his tasty creations at Gramercy Tavern and Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Lazlo reportedly will continue to feature produce from local farms on the menu and will be partnering with the Back 40 Farm in upstate Washington. According to the CTBites report, which can be found here, Lazlo is planning to create a farm atmosphere and also will offer cooking classes in the space where the Rouge Brasserie and Oyster Bar closed earlier this year. An outdoors-type atmosphere will be a welcome change from the dark hues in the cramped, loud space that served as Lolita Cucina.
