Exciting news that an Andrews Labor Government will build the Western Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Sunshine, with $200 million in funding to improve care for families in the west. The new five storey centre – specialising in services for families in the West – will bring care closer to home, allow for an extra 2,000 births a year and free up beds and services at Sunshine and surrounding hospitals. The Western Women’s and Children’s Hospital will provide 237 beds, 39 special care nursery cots, four theatres and additional clinics, catering for the needs of a booming and diverse population.
