Exclusive Interview with accused Minister Gh Hassan Mir SRINAGAR — A defence ministry inquiry which has accused a serving minister in Jammu and Kashmir of taking bribe from an illegal unit set up by India’s former Army chief VK Singh to destabilize Omar Abdullah government has shaken the political circles. In an interview with Authint Mail on Friday, tainted agriculture minister of J&K, Ghulam Hassan Mir denied the charges levelled against him by a secret board of officers led by Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia, DG, Military Operations, which investigated the misuse of secret service funds when VK Singh headed Indian Army. “See, I always worked in the interest of a stable Congress-National Conference government. I stood by the government on a number of decisions; whether it was the response to protests or any other issue. Everybody in government knows me well. I don’t know where this report emerged from. There is no question that I would attempt to destabilize the government,” he said.
