Exelon Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Goals 1. Attract, develop and retain talent of all backgrounds that reflect the realities of our marketplace, our communities and the relevant labor market. 2. Position Exelon to be recognized as a diversity and inclusion leader by its employees, by local, regional and national thought leaders; and by the communities it serves. 3. Create a culture of inclusion through consistent and sustained execution of the diversity and inclusion strategy, including progress measurement and accountability for results. 4. Ensure that Exelon leadership has a significant reach and visible presence in a strategic core group of diverse community based organizations. 5. Achieve a diverse range of suppliers in all critical areas of procurement I. Major Initiatives and Goals: Asian-American Resource Group (AARG - Baltimore) 2014 Goals 1. Host a major event (or series of smaller events) to celebrate Asian-Pacific American Heritage month within the Exelon community in Baltimore. The event will promote Asian heritage through informative displays, educational materials, presentations by our Exelon leadership and / or business leaders, and variety of ethnic foods to provide a better understanding of Asian culture. 2. Host 2 to 3 professional development events to enable the opportunity for Exelon employees to network with their colleagues in a professional environment / setting that facilitates and promotes interaction. A number of our Exelon executives will be invited to speak about their career and offer advice for career development. Events may have additional Guest Speaker(s) internal or external to the Company to discuss a topic of social or business significance to the Asian community. Events may include various Asian themes designed to educate members as part of the inclusion strategy. Social gatherings may follow the formal programs to allow further discussion and enhance the networking opportunities. 3. Participate in 3 to 4 volunteer events through-out the year, especially during National Volunteer Week in April 2014. There are several types of events that the AARG may choose to participate and sponsor. Specific events and details will be worked out as the Community Service Sub-committee meets throughout the year. The volunteer events have a far reach into our community by providing services to those in need that benefit many people. 4. Host 1 to 2 social type events (sporting event; local community event; etc.) to allow the members to get together as a group outing to strengthen and build relationships. The event will be designed to promote camaraderie and motivate others to get involved. 5. Have tee / polo-shirts made with AARG logo to distribute to members at various events to promote AARG brand recognition. Brand Ambassadors at the various Exelon facilities in Baltimore region would wear the shirts on designated days with the theme “Ask me about AARG” to get the word out to other employees who may not know about AARG.
