Exodus 20:4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Isaiah 44:9-20 All who fashion idols are nothing, and the things they delight in do not profit. Their witnesses neither SEE nor KNOW, that they may be put to shame. Who fashions a god or casts an idol that is profitable for nothing? Behold, all his companions shall be put to shame, and the craftsmen are only HUMAN. Let them all assemble, let them stand forth. They shall be terrified; they shall be put to shame together. The ironsmith takes a cutting tool and works it over the coals. He fashions it with hammers and works it with his strong arm. He becomes hungry, and his strength fails; he drinks no water and is faint. The carpenter stretches a line; he marks it out with a pencil. He shapes it with planes and marks it with a compass. He shapes it into the figure of a man, with the beauty of a man, to dwell in a house. Isaiah 30:22. And you shall contaminate the plate of your silver graven images and the adornment of your golden molten image; scatter them afar like a menstruant; Go out, say to it. Isaiah 44:9 9. Those who form idols are all of them vanity, and their treasures are of no avail, and they are their witnesses; they neither see nor hear, nor do they know, so that they be ashamed. Isaiah 42:17 17. They shall turn back greatly ashamed, those who trust in the graven image, who say to the molten idols, You are our gods. Jeremiah 10:14 Every man is brutish without knowledge; every smith is put to shame by his graven image, for his molten images are false, without spirit in them. Amos 5:26 And you shall carry Siccuth your king and Chiun your images, Kochav your god, which you have made for yourselves. Nahum 1:14 And the Lord shall command concerning you; No more [offspring] of your name shall be sown; from the house of your god I will cut off a graven image and a molten image; I will make your grave, for you have become worthless.
