Explicit Language. Another great cypher yesterday in which the MC cyphers really took off. MCs come from all backgrounds and life experiences, it only makes sense that each would have a different way of expressing. For many, rap is an expressive outlet in which emotion and daily tensions can be released through lyricism. Whether it be dance or rap there is a level of raw emotion that comes out of an artist, this may be misinterpreted as something aggressive, vulgar, or dangerous but in most instances is just a genuine portrayal of the artists emotion, tension, or seriousness towards a topic they me be addressing. Freestyle rap is the rawest form of lyrical expression, it is speech, rhyme scheme, adaptability, and emotion given from the instrumental, it may come across as vulgar at times but it really is an impressive expressive talent.
