Exporting civilization has brought us to where we are today. Earlier I referenced a posting that claimed to list The Native American Ten Commandments. Ten Commandments comes from Christianity, not the religion of Native Peoples. Just as Mount Rushmore (with its great white fathers) carved into a place considered sacred and Native Lands, is an insult to Indians. So is calling their spirituality (NOT religion) by a reference of white language, Catholic language or religious language. (ten commandments.) The great white leaders all massacred Indians and George Washington and others owned slaves. Indian children were forced into white and Catholic boarding schools where missionaries indoctrinated them into Western (Catholic) culture and treated them badly and abused them with physical punishment. If they dared speak in their own tribal tongue, they were beaten. Anti-Semitism is also an export of missionaries. Modern civilization and particularly American civilization has nothing to boast about because it was build upon genocide of the Native Peoples and on the backs of slaves- lynched, burned or killed some other way sometimes simply for BEING. If we are to ever conquer our differences, learn compassion and become a humane creature and race on this planet, we must know the true history- not the revisionist kind. We must seek truth-telling and not dismiss those who seek to teach us truth.
