Project: 1% - Beijing Subway Public Art Programme - Metro Line 6 Phase II, Line 7, Line 14 (Next to the CCTV Headquarter) Open for Public Comment. At one point we were threaten to be knock out of the submission process and advisory committee demanded a mural from us (which would be more troubling from us) After sticking to our guns and played the Russian roulette with them, now we are back initial design. Dehow Projects, collaboration with Kazuhisa Matsuda and Zhou Yi (Beijing). We are excited that it reached to public poll via web, especially glad to know that public art doesnt have to be happy and pretty with marking of historical figures/events, community-led based or child-like. Could it be sublime and understated at 1%?
