.Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for Technical Associate for a Falconer, NY client. Technical Associate supports engineering for NPI forward lighting programs during development stage and supports build requirements for customer/prototype orders for customer assembly trails, retrofit or OEM production activities and operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Follows NPI Practices and Procedures Possesses product knowledge for all forward lighting lamp assemblies. Full fills production order boards and develops work schedules with Engineering Technicians assign to forward lighting area. Works with Engineering Technicians to develop best methods to build and construct product sub-assemblies or finished goods. Develops and records time elements to build or construct product, assists in writing methods and taking pictures. Gives input on the method of construction and improvements to methods over time. Looks for continuous improvements for building products. Participates in problem solving or brainstorming exercises to improve production methods. Set ups fixtures, gauges or assembly equipment to the production shop order. Records information for preventative maintenance, tracks product through manufacturing, tracks product performance data, measurements from assembly equipment, and/or environmental controls. Fills out process control charts when applicable. Records data from process equipment to monitor dispensing volumes, time elements, ESD data, and product tester pass/fail criteria. Maintains work area(s) during the manufacturing process, abides by rules of the forward lighting manufacturing area, and wears proper ESD attire and safety equipment for this manufacturing area. Maintains and promotes quality standards for forward lighting products. Attends all product/equipment training and training sessions for gages and fixtures. Materials and Equipment Used: Copy machine, product fixtures, {PC}, gages, and calculator, dial indicators, calipers and various measuring instruments, bar code scanners. Preferred and Special Requirements: Must hold established knowledge in product prints reading, dimensional and note information on prints, can decipher specific product attributes from a product print. Two (2) year technical degree with emphasis in reasoning and problem solving skill sets. Must be able to take technical direction(s). Follow written directions on method sheets and to successful assembly components to product print. Set up gigs and fixtures to the appropriate product attributes. Record information during work day for history files of the daily production. This is a general statement as to duties and responsibilities for a specific job, and does not contain all of its duties.
